From April 2023 to April 2024, Ebony Analytics Africa was contracted by Expertise France to create and support the implementation of a digital communication strategy dubbed " the Democratic Governance Roadshow campaign" under the African Governance Architecture Support Project (AGA-SP). This collaborative communication initiative involved the African Union (AU), AGA and six of its organs i.e. The African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM); the African Court on Human and people’s Rights (AfCHPR); the Pan African Parliament (PAP), Economic, Social & Cultural Council (ECOSOCC); the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC); and the African Commission on Human and People’s Rights (ACHPR).
The objective of this campaign was to raise awareness and visibility of these organs, emphasizing their mandate and contributions to democratic governance, the rule of law, and human rights on the African continent. The campaign also aimed to increase citizen engagement by showcasing the people-centered nature of these organs. The approach of the campaign encompassed interactive elements to allow African citizens, policy makers and human rights defenders to express their views on governance issues impacting their daily lives.
Ebony Analytics Africa developed an end-to-end digital campaign strategy, created content, and coordinated with AU, AGA and its affiliate organs for content dissemination which was done on their official social media platforms.
The Democratic Governance Roadshow made waves across social media platforms, captivating audiences, sharing compelling stories and reshaping perceptions. Posts on various social media platforms attracted significant engagements, underscoring the reach and resonance of the campaign messaging. Through compelling content and strategic dissemination, the Democratic Governance Roadshow succeeded in sparking meaningful conversations across the digital landscape.
